willard home

Last thursday we went to the willard home we sang christmas carols they sang along a bit to. flo and Amelie played the piano Rebecca violin libby glockenspiel. we read some books to they enjoyed that. we also gave them some christmas art to cheer them up. my reflection is that I think that they really enjoyed it because they were singing along.

little gardens

last term we got nearly the whole set of little gardens from new world we didn,t get dill I got spring oinon it was fun planting all of the but it took a while before we could plant them. I think it has been fun planting all of them. here are some that turned out well.

































my reflection is that made me happy becaouse it was really fun becaouse sometimes i like planting things.

the brainbusters art

this year we have been doing a lot of art here is some

it is really fun doing it  we did cartooning animal art Christmas art and calendar art. we also did crayon art my favorite is cartooning because it's fun and you can make up your own kind of cartoon. I like to do dogs and sharks. we do lots of our art with flourish. I think art is my favorite subject.

                                                                   My reflection is that I have had a really fun time doing Maori but it is pretty                                    difficult because it is really hard to remember different words in Maori. Itis like learning                         Japanese because you always need to know how to pronounce it.

   this is a movie that we made called lukas grows down it is based off otto grows down. i was a birthday boy and we entered it into the digi awards.

flat packs

my problem was i couldn't connect the body. Design Brief
We want a decorative model that can be put on top of the shelves by the windows. The model needs to be:

• Made from cardboard
• A flat pack design
• Good enough to go in a shop

We had a go at following instructions to make a flat pack Christmas Tree. We used this concept to help us to create our own flat pack using the design process.

As part of the design process we created prototypes and reflected on what worked and what didn't.

seed2table

This term we are doing the Seed2Table programme. During the cooking part I have learnt: How to follow a recipe Use a knife safely How to grate How to set the table During the science part I have learnt: About the different parts of a plant We are also growing our own potatoes in buckets. It is a competition who can grow the most. My favourite recipe was the Spanakopita Pie which is has          silverbeet  and 3 cheeses in filo pastry.

blue hat the point of discovery time is to practice panekiretanga by working with other people we haven't worked with before.
yellow hat what went well today was that everyone was working together.
black hat what went badly was that Cullen destroyed one of the huts.
red hat so i felt a bit sad because i helped build it and it took a long time.
white hat my favourite thing was the yoyo station.

eat right be bright.

Today we went to watch a magic show called "Eat Right & Be Bright". Vas Kowalski was the Magician.

He taught us about the importance of eating healthy. Everyday we need to eat:

• Fruit 
• Vegetables
• Grains
• Protein
• Dairy

If we eat well we will get all of the vitamins and minerals we need to be strong and healthy.

Olympic's day

today we had a olympic's day and there was high jump, archery, darts with straws, soccer, piggy back ride races, paper scissors rock, boat racing, hockey, egg races, sponge racing and beanbag tossing.              our classes were split up into different country's we were split up into spain and netherlands. i was netherlands.                                                                                                                        my favourite activity was the archery because we were throwing things. I feel happy because olympics day was really fun.

If was a crayon i would be blue because I love the sea. I really love the sea because i like going biscuiting my dad always goes really fast while going in a circle but my brother doesn't like it. I also love going swimming because i Like going underwater with my dogs but they only come out with me not underwater with me. Blue is the sea shining in the sunlight. Blue is the color that people are alway biscuiting or swimming on. Blue is the color that people like. Blue is the color that people go fishing on. Blue is the fun color. My strengths are fishing swimming sports biscuiting and gaming. I like my strengths because they are all for me. I am a good friend because i am always nice and not being mean.

At station one I was doing the rice one. Its  when you basically measure stuff this is it.

this is when I was at station 4 we had to make a tinfoil boat. Then we had to put them on the water and see how may grams it can hold. here is my one I got 650 grams.
